Technology sector performance

After sliding a hair-raising -17.87% in a week last week, Technology sector ETF closed this week at $78.59 and rocketed an extraordinary 10.61%.

Technology sector ETF shares fell through the support line what triggered further losses. Not so far away is the last all-time high Technology sector ETF marked by mid February, but since then it dropped a 23.26%. Since early March, when XLK stock price broke down the 40-weeks moving avarage line, it slid $-9.86 per share (-11.15%). Trading stocks that are under the 40-weeks (that is, 200-days) moving average mark is not recommended by many experts, as it indicates that the stock has not enough institutional support. Early May, SMA20w and SMA40w crossed up triggering a rise of 1.20%.
