Energy sector performance

Shares of Energy sector ETF slipped a terrible -4.62% this week. Late January XLE plummed a chilling -5.95% in just one week.

After giving up the previous support, we should expect price will slice down to find new supports. Since price and 40-weeks moving average lines crossed down late January, XLE fell $-7.48 per share (-12.65%). Trading stocks that are under the 40-weeks (that is, 200-days) moving average mark is not recommended by many experts, as it indicates that the stock has not enough institutional support.
